Cinco De Mayo, FBM-style

Tomorrow is May 5th… Cinco De Mayo! You have to eat something Mexican-inspired! You HAVE to! Here are some ideas from the Food Blog Mafia…

Start off with a cocktail … try  a Chelada!

For appetizers, perhaps make some colorful salsa, or taco dip with “salsamole” or shredded pork nachos or chicken green chile nachos. And, This Jalepeno-peanut pesto makes a tasty and unique dip for chips.

Salad? Avocado Crab!

Mmmmmm… grilled Fry Bread.

You could go on a taco crawl, like Kelli did.

Some main dish ideas: Chipotle Shrimp tacos, Sweet potato EnchiladasSopa Seca de Fideo (dry angel hair pasta).

If you can make the time, and want to make something ultra soul-satisfying, try tamales!
